The author Inge Resch-Rauter, comes from the middle-class background of a Viennese academic family and has studied economy at the University for International Trade. She made her career in big industries.

Her approach to local history, in particular, the Celts, who´ s language relicts can be found all over Europe, happened 30 years ago, because of a sudden interest in the past of a little place in the Wachau region of Austria, which was incidentally her childhood paradise.

At this point in time, science was ignoring all facts of a dominant Celtic colonisation of Europe; they searched only for remains pertaining to the Romans, the Germans and the Wends.

Since that time, she has been engaging herself in an interdisciplinary way, with the research of Celtic relicts in Europe. To be able to interpret the original meaning and context of local names, which she recognized as having Celtic roots, she had to make herself familiar with archaeology, history, folklife studies, old religions and the analysis of legends and fairy tales. On proceeding, she realized that she also had to make herself knowledgeable in astronomy, which played a dominant role as an essential factor for survival in the era of our ancestors.

As a consequence she came to the opinion, that without Astronomical knowledge, no profound research of traditions, analysis of myths or of fairy tales and ‘ground monument research’ would be possible.
